While the early talk of the Milan Cortina Olympics was Lindsey Vonn, possible injections to increase aerodynamics, and the various winter sports on display, the latest talk of the town, country, and world is Norwegian biathlete, Sturla Holm Lægreid. The talk has even reached American late night TV.

In an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2026, actor and comedian Nick Kroll brought up the incident with Kimmel and did an impression of the Norwegian athlete's tearful cheating admission in his post-race interview.

Kimmel revealed that they couldn't get the rights to the clip yet, but Kimmel admitted that he's trying to get the clip to show on his show because it's one of the most interesting, fascinating things we've ever seen.

Kroll caps off the bit by suggesting he'll start a GoFundMe to get enough money for Kimmel to get the rights to the clip.

For those out of the loop, Lægreid is making headlines after he won a bronze medal in the 20km biathlon. He was asked immediately by the media about how he was feeling after finishing third and medaling at the Olympics, which, you know, is something that should be celebrated. Instead, Lægreid took the time to announce to the world that he cheated on his girlfriend months ago and told her about it last week.

You can watch Lægreid's post-race interview, as well.

I can't imagine a worse way to confess you cheated on the "gold medal" of your life if the goal is to actually get back with them. I love a good fall-on-your-sword moment as much as anyone, but this is not the place or the time. The fact that this was not obvious to Lægreid is a bit troubling, but hey, you win some, you lose some. You win gold, you win bronze. Life moves on. We live and we learn. I don't want to beat up the guy too much; he's going through a lot! I also hope is ex is okay, given all the global media coverage.

Watch Jimmy Kimmel Live weeknights on ABC at 11:35 p.m. ET! We'll let you know if the show gets the rights to the video, or better yet, gets Lægreid to make an appearance.
