It’s almost time to count down to the end of the year. Some parts of the world have already rung in 2026, and it’ll be our turn before we know it. Of course, the ball drop at Times Square is the biggest moment for the United States, and that means you want to watch it on your TV for New Year’s Eve 2025.
The good news is there are plenty of programs to check out. And yes, since they roll into the late night timeslots, we’re counting them as late night TV! So, let’s take a look at all the broadcast and cable options as we ring in 2026 in style.

Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve
Of course, one of the biggest events of the year is ABC’s Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve. Ryan Seacrest will host once more, and as we noted earlier this year, Diana Ross will headline it. The program officially kicks off at 8 p.m. ET, and then it will run through the night. There is a short break around 10 p.m. ET for some local news, before we then get into the ball drop.
This continues all the way into the early hours of the morning. There are musical guests throughout to entertain everyone, and it’s all live from Times Square, so you know you’re getting the full experience.
New Year’s Eve: Nashville’s Big Bash
CBS is sticking with its regular program, New Year’s Eve: Nashville’s Big Bash, which its aired since 2021. All the coverage is from Nashville, Tennessee, with mostly country music stars taking over the stage to welcome the new year in. Haley Naylee will correspond, while Bert Kreischer and HARDY will host the event.
Everything kicks off at 8 p.m. ET/PT, and it will then take a short break around 10 p.m. ET/PT for local news. After that, viewers can tune in from 10:30 p.m. ET/PT to watch the new year roll in. While this takes place in Nashville, Baylee will be in New York, so you’ll get to see the ball drop at Times Square as the clock chimes midnight.

A Toast to 2025
NBC is opting for a pop culture event with A Toast to 2025. TODAY’s Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager will host the two-hour special, but there will be many other actors, comedians, and personalities showing up throughout the special. Howie Mandel from America’s Got Talent and Chris Hardwick from The Wall are among the guests confirmed.
This is a fun event that takes a look back at the year. There’s a chance to revisit funny pop culture moments and fun events that took place. The idea is to say goodbye in a positive and fun way as we then say hello to 2026. A Toast to 2025 will air at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
Who Can Forget 2025? and more
While FOX doesn’t have any NYE coverage planned, FOX News does. It all starts with Who Can Forget 2025? at 8 p.m. ET/PT, which offers a look back at some of the biggest pop culture stories and news from the year. Then A New Year with Kat & Tyrus will air for the next couple ofhours, giving us another look at the funny and favorite stories and videos of 2025.
After that, it’s all about the All-American New Year’s Bash, which will be hosted by Jimmy Failla at 11 p.m. ET/PT. He’ll be joined by Tomi Lahren, Jon Tagger, Aaron Berg, and Charles McBee as they recap the wildest of stories from the year.
There’s plenty to choose from to ring in the new year. Now you just need to decide how you’re going to welcome 2026 in with style.
