We might be missing the laughs Saturday Night Live brings every weekend right now, but they will be back before we know it! In the midst of the show's extended break for NBC's Milano Cortina Winter Olympics coverage, the networks revealed amazing news that should have all SNL fans jumping for joy like Kristen Wiig's iconic character Sue, who can barely contain her excitement.

Even though there hasn't been a new episode of Saturday Night Live season 51 since Alexander Skarsgård hosted with musical guest Cardi B on Jan. 31, NBC revealed that when the series returns on Feb. 28, there will be three back-to-back new episodes! Hopefully, there will be another new episode following this stretch of three, but NBC hasn't revealed plans that far in advance.

SNL returns on Saturday, Feb. 28 with breakout Heated Rivalry star Connor Storrie as host and Grammy Award-winning band Mumford & Sons as musical guest. On top of the exciting news of the three-week sprint of new shows, NBC also announced that Ryan Gosling will host on March 7 to promote his new film Project Hail Mary with musical guest Gorillaz promoting their new album.

If you're wondering who's hosting and providing the music for the March 14 episode, NBC hasn't shared that information just yet. While the network confirms that a new episode will air that Saturday night, the reveal of the host and musical guest will occur in the coming weeks. Hopefully, the news will drop before or during the series' return on Feb. 28 or during the March 7 episode at the latest.

It's always fun to predict which stars could be appearing on the series as the host and musical guest based on the movies, shows, and albums being released around certain dates. Naturally, because Harry Styles releases his highly anticipated new album on March 6, he's a top choice among fans to appear as musical guest or even pull double duty as host one again.

Saturday Night Live has had an impressive line-up of hosts so far this season, opening with Super Bowl halftime performer Bad Bunny and including other top talents like Amy Poehler, Sabrina Carpenter, Ariana Grande, Teyana Taylor, Finn Wolfhard, and more. Musical guests have spanned genres, featuring newly minted Grammy winner Olivia Dean and seasoned pros like Cher.

Since SNL season 51 will contain 20 episode total and conclude in May, there are still four more episodes left to enjoy after episode 14, 15, and 16 air on Feb. 28, March 7, and March 14. We will definitely be in for another break in airings here and there with the limited number of shows left, but there's no doubt that like these three episodes, the last four will be worth the wait.

Stay tuned for more SNL news and updates!
