There is plenty to look forward to on Late Night with Seth Meyers during the week starting Monday, Jan. 5. The series returns after a two-week break for the holiday season, and we can’t wait!

There’s a jam-packed schedule for the week. Like with the other late night shows, Friday is confirmed as a rerun day, focusing on Day Drinking with Sabrina Carpenter and an interview with Jack Black. However, the rest of the week is all new, with a look at some exciting shows and movies, including The Copenhagen Test and Stranger Things

Monday, January 5

Things kick off with Kristen Stewart appearing on the series, where she’ll talk about her directorial debut, The Chronology of Water. She will focus on the resilience of life that she has learned from the movie.

After that, Wagner Moura will take to the set. He has his new political drama The Secret Agent coming out, and he’ll share all about it.

Then it’s all about sport. Karl-Anthony Towns will appear on the talk show to talk about his run with the New York Knicks, where he plays center. The NBA has been huge for NBC this year, so it’s not that surprising there is some focus on some of the players.

Sean Hayes will talk about The Unknown and his return to New York, and then there is a focus on Stranger Things. Shawn Levy will talk all about the powerful ending and saying goodbye to the five-season series.

Wednesday, January 7

After appearing on The Late Show earlier in the week, Jodie Foster will step on the stage with Seth Meyers during Hump Day. She’ll be there to talk about A Private Life, the French crime drama.

After that, it’s all about the spy drama The Copenhagen Test. Simu Liu will discuss his character and the series, which dropped as a binge-watch on Saturday, Dec. 27. This is not to be missed!

Thursday, January 8

Then it’s all about the Apple TV series Hijack, which will return for its second season. Idris Elba talks all about the return and what we can expect.

Another show returning in January 2026 is Industry, which returns for its fourth season. Marisa Abela will talk to Meyers al about the high finance drama series and what fans can expect.

There are no musical guests set for this late night show, which isn’t all that unusual compared to other late night shows. This is more focused on political commentary and the interviews with actors.

Late Night with Seth Meyers airs weeknights at 12:37/11:.37c on NBC.
