Late Night with Seth Meyers is going off the air for a long, long time

Hopefully, Late Night with Seth Meyers fans got their fix last week. Because starting tonight, it will be a very long time before the NBC late-night show is back on the air with any new episodes.

NBC’s Late Night is heading into a spring hiatus, with Seth Meyers officially beginning a three-week break starting tonight, March 30. The show is scheduled to return with new episodes on April 20, in what is a fairly typical break in the action for the late-night TV calendar (even if the timing feels less than ideal).

Spring breaks like this are standard across late-night television, often aligning with holidays like Easter and Passover, as well as giving hosts and staff a chance to recharge after a busy start to the year. Jimmy Kimmel is also off this week, and Jimmy Fallon has vacation time lined up later in April.

Still, Meyers heads into this hiatus at a moment when the headlines are ripe for late-night material. The war in Iran, combined with former President Donald Trump’s handling of the situation, has provided a steady stream of material for Meyers and segments like “A Closer Look” in recent weeks. On the bright side, there will be no shortage of topics waiting for him when he returns.

Meyers won’t be completely off the grid during the break, however. The host has a handful of stand-up dates scheduled over the next few weeks, keeping him in front of live audiences even while Late Night is dark. In the meantime, NBC has mapped out a week of reruns to fill the gap, giving viewers a chance to revisit some of the show’s recent highlights.

The week kicks off Monday, March 30, with a repeat of Meyers’ January 15 episode featuring Kenan Thompson and Carrie Coon. Thompson stopped by to talk about his ongoing run on Saturday Night Live, and Coon discussed her Broadway play Bug.

On Tuesday, March 31, Alexander Skarsgård joins Meyers alongside Paula Pell in a rerun from February 2. Skarsgård discussed his experience hosting SNL. Meanwhile, Pell talked up her new series The 'Burbs.

Wednesday, April 1 brings back the March 19 episode with Anya Taylor-Joy and Shawn Hatosy. Taylor-Joy discussed her voice work in the new Super Mario movie, and Hatosy talked up The Pitt.

The Thursday, April 2 rerun (originally from February 4) features Kaley Cuoco and James Acaster, with Cuoco promoting Vanished. Acaster gave updates on his Off Menu podcast.

Finally, the week wraps Friday, April 3, with the February 5 episode starring Nick Jonas and John Early. Jonas discussed the 20-year anniversary of The Jonas Brothers, and Early chatted about What We Did Before Our Moth Days.

Late Night with Seth Meyers airs at 12:35 a.m. ET on NBC. Episodes are also available to stream on Peacock.
