Jimmy Kimmel refutes claims that he used to be friendly with Donald Trump
Jimmy Kimmel doesn't like Donald Trump, and vice versa. You know the deal, we don't need to rehash the feud that's been playing out over the last decade. What is worth discussing, however, is the claim that Kimmel and Trump were friendly before the latter decided to get into politics.
Donald Trump recently appeared on the Full Send podcast, and he claimed that he was a frequent guest on Kimmel's show before political differences got in the way. "I'd do Jimmy Kimmel," he stated. "I did him a lot." This was not an assertion that sat well with Kimmel, who decided to set the record straight during one of his monologues.
Kimmel only had Trump as a guest three times
Kimmel told his audience that he did not have Trump on his show a lot. He also decided to poke fun at Trump's wording of doing "him a lot." The host had this to say in response:
"Maybe confusing me with Stormy Daniels, I dunno. Three times. We've been on almost 22 years, you were on three times. Not a lot."
Donald Trump also claimed that he would be warmly received by Kimmel when he saw him prior to 2015. "[He] used to greet me on the sidewalk outside the studio," the former President noted. "This is before politics, of course."
He says Trump's recollections 'never happened'
Can you guess where this is going? Jimmy Kimmel was absolutely taken aback by the claim, and said that he did no such thing at any point during his career. "By every time, he means no times," he noted. "He loves telling this made-up story. Never did I ever stand on the sidewalk to greet Donald Trump or any guest. Never happened."
Kimmel was so incensned by Trump's claims, in fact, that he decided to throw a few insults his way. It only seemed fair, since the former President dubbed him a "loser" during the Full Send conversation. Kimmel declared that the only time he walked on the sidewalk for Trump was when he stopped to urinate on the mogul's Hollywood Walk of Fame Star.
The feud continues. In other news, water wet.
