Can you believe we’re at the start of December 2025 already? It’s the last month of the year, and there are still some great movies and shows to look forward to. This week is no exception, and Jimmy Kimmel Live! is the home of some excellent upcoming interviews about them.

While there isn’t always a theme, there tends to be a pattern in the interviews. Jimmy Kimmel Live! is focusing on two main pieces of content this week. It’s all about the third Avatar movie, Avatar: Fire & Ash and the new Netflix series The Abandons. We’re sure to see them covered on other shows as well!

There are still a few weeks of new episodes to come before Jimmy Kimmel Live! takes a break for the winter period. Nobody wants to work over the Christmas and New Year holidays, and while not everyone gets to take that time off, we can’t begrudge those who do get the chance. So, let’s enjoy the episodes that we have left.

As usual, the schedule is subject to change depending on guest availability at the time.

Monday, December 1

Zoe Saldaña will take to the chairs to promote the third Avatar movie. Released on Dec. 19, 2025, she returns as Neytiri, now the wife of Former Corporal Jake Sully, who left the Omatikaya to join the Metkayina. The third movie sees a new threat in the form of an aggressive tribe called Na’vi, the Mangkwan clan also known as the Ash People.

Paul Anka will also be interviewed by Kimmel to promote two upcoming specials: Paul Anka: His Way and Inspirations of Life and Love. He will also be the musical guest for the night.

Tuesday, December 2

On Tuesday, it’s all about The Abandons, with Gillian Anderson being interviewed. The new Netflix series takes place in the Old West, with Anderson playing what seems to be the antagonist of the series. Is it all as it initially seems with the trailer, though?

Kevin Nealson will also be there to talk about his “Take a Hike” campaign, which is being done with the Appalachian Trail Conservancy. There will also be a performance by Jack Johnson featuring Hermanos Gutiérrez.

Wednesday, December 3

John Cena will head to the show on Wednesday, taking a break from the main lineup of The Abandons and Avatar appearances. He’s there to talk about the WWE, although we’re sure to get some Peacemaker questions thrown in there.

Druski will appear to promote the “Coulda Fest” tour, while Silvana Estrada will take to the stage to perform.

Thursday, December 4

Then it’s back to Avatar: Fire & Ash, with Miley Cyrus taking to the stage. She will be there to discuss her musical addition to the movie, as she performs the theme song “Dream As One” for this third installment.

Cameron Crowe will also be interviewed for memoir “The Uncool,” which takes a look at his family, his ambition, and his passion for music. There are vivid snapshots of a bygone era throughout. Then Rufus Wainwright will perform.

Friday, December 5

The lineup is still to be confirmed, and it could end up being a rerun, as we often find with Friday night episodes.

Jimmy Kimmel Live! airs on weeknights at 11:35/10:35c on ABC.
