ABC shared some unwelcome news about Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday. The late-night TV show's audience is in for a long week, beginning tonight, May 12.
Jimmy Kimmel has done as good a job as anyone in late-night staying on top of President Donald Trump and his administration. So much so that Kimmel even becomes part of the story.
But don't expect anything like that to happen this week. ABC announced Jimmy Kimmel Live! will go dark this week with no new episodes.
Instead, rerurns are scheduled for Monday through Friday. It seems as if Kimmel and his team have been given a break as we quickly approach the summer months.
The good news for late-night TV fans? There are always plenty of options. And this week, Jimmy Kimmel Live! is the only show off the air.
That means new episodes of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Late Night with Seth Meyers, and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert are on the schedule.
Jimmy Kimmel Live!'s rerun schedule for this week
Most people catch up with Jimmy Kimmel Live! on YouTube, Instagram, and other social media platforms. But that doesn't keep ABC from still airing reruns during the show's normal 11:35 p.m. ET timeslot.
On Monday, May 12, revisit the May 6 episode featuring Nick Offerman, Charlie Cox, and They Might Be Giants. The next night repeats Thunderbolts* night, when cast members David Harbour, Sebastian Stan, Florence Pugh, Wyatt Russell, and Hannah John-Kamen joined the show.
Wednesday, May 14 gives another turn to the May 1 episode that saw Dax Shepard, Governor JB Pritzker, and Annie DiRusso on the show. The April 29 episode comes on Thursday night, featuring Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Mo Amer, and Tucker Wetmore.
Finally, things wrap up on Friday, May 16. ABC will rerun the May 7 episode with Barry Keoghan, Luenell, and I'm With Her.
