Conan O'Brien has a brand new gig as the late-night TV host continues to reach new career heights. The comedian announced he's been cast in one of the most iconic franchises in movie history.

In an Instagram post, O'Brien revealed he's joining the cast of Toy Story 5. The Pixar animated film will hit theaters in June 2026 if all goes according to schedule.

O'Brien used his signature sense of humor to make the announcement, suggesting he entered tense negotiations with Disney about which part he would voice. Per the late-night TV legend, the studio pushed back at O'Brien's offer to play Woody or Buzz.

Instead, O'Brien will play a new character called Smartypants. It's the best character of all, said O'Brien.

Along with Tom Hanks and Tim Allen, O'Brien joins fellow Toy Story 5 castmates Ernie Hudson (Combat Carl), Tony Hale (Forky), and Anna Farris in an undisclosed role. More cast announcements are expected soon.
