Saturday Night Live has handed the show over to first-timers through the first three episodes of the season. But what should SNL audiences expect to see tonight?

Saturday Night Live season 49 kicked off with the return of Pete Davidson. The former SNL cast member proved he was more than comfortable back in Studio 8H. Bad Bunny came next and then comedian Nate Bargatze, giving SNL a string of successful hosts.

Unfortunately, that streak comes to an end on Saturday night. That’s because there will not be a new episode of Saturday Night Live tonight.

Instead, NBC will reair the SNL season 49 premiere from October 14. Tune in to revisit Davidson’s performance along with musical guest Ice Spice. The episode also featured appearances by Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift, and John Mulaney.

Who’s the next Saturday Night Live host?

Saturday Night Live usually takes a break after starting a season with three new episodes. So it’s not too surprising to see that the cast, crew, and staff are taking a break after getting season 49 off the ground.

On the bright side, we know when Saturday Night Live will return with another brand new episode. SNL returns on November 11.

Actor Timothee Chalamet will host. It marks Chalamet’s second time hosting after making his debut in season 46 on December 12, 2020.

It was a solid performance by Chalamet and given his popularity, it was all but guaranteed he’d be back to host Saturday Night Live again. Would it be too soon to bring Pete Davidson back for a follow-up to the “XXL Rap Roundtable” sketch?

We’ll find out when Saturday Night Live returns on November 11. In the meantime, catch up with SNL on the show’s official YouTube channel or on Peacock.
