The Late Show with Stephen Colbert will look a little different tonight, October 16
By Matt Moore
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert is back with a brand-new episode tonight. But, things will look a little different when the CBS late-night TV show hits the air.
The Late Show enters the week still riding the momentum of its return from hiatus. Millions of fans have turned to Stephen Colbert’s monologues to hear the host’s thoughts on everything from the chaos in Congress to Donald Trump’s trials.
And while that won’t change on tonight’s episode, things will look different on The Late Show. Stephen Colbert will host the show remotely following a COVID-19 diagnosis.
According to the show’s official Twitter feed, The Late Show will go on as scheduled. Colbert will deliver his monologue and desk piece from home.
Obviously, this brings back memories of the pandemic. Colbert and other late-night TV shows managed to produce shows from home for months and months. So even if Colbert is kept away from the studio for the rest of the week, the show shouldn’t run into any roadblocks.
Who’s on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight, October 16?
First up, Stephen Colbert will interview Jada Pinkett Smith. The actor is out promoting her new memoir, Worthy. The book is already getting plenty of attention thanks to the revelations inside, especially concerning Smith’s relationship with her husband Will Smith.
Then, comedian and actor Ricky Velez will be on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. His credits include The King of Staten Island, Bupkis, and Single Drunk Female.
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert airs tonight at 11:35 p.m. ET. Fans can watch on CBS or through a Paramount+ subscription.
