Tucker Carlson has suddenly left Fox News and the American public is in shock.

Carlson was Fox’s biggest star, who managed to draw in millions to his monologues every night. The conservative commentator’s reign on the network of course came with controversy, but plenty of success.

Fox will now have to rely on a rotation of existing talent until the channel can find a replacement for Carlson, according to reports.

The Los Angeles Times has reported that Carlson’s departure is in part related to a discrimination lawsuit which was filed by Abby Grossberg last month.

Some are suggesting he also may have been pushed out amidst Fox’s recent controversial settlement with Dominion Voting Systems.

Tucker’s future will of course be of no concern to viewers. His voice is among the most popular in the country’s media sphere so it’s likely a number of networks are already in negotiations with the news personality.

Weirdly enough, the same day Tucker finds himself packing his bags, so does CNN’s Don Lemon.

CNN has also chosen not to discuss the reasons for Lemon’s departure although the political anchor has publically stated he is upset at how he’s been treated by the network via Twitter.

Jon Stewart reacts to Tucker Carlson’s immediate leave

Jon Stewart’s rivalry with Tucker Carlson goes back a number of years. The former Daily Show host was called a “homeless mental patient” by Carlson just a few months back to put things in perspective.

The two famously went at it on CNN’s Crossfire, a viral television moment which still has viewers talking today. Nowadays, Stewart prefers to steer his criticism more towards the Fox network, which he accuses of spouting Republican misinformation.

Stewart was quick to respond to the news of Tucker’s exit but chose to keep things short and sweet. On Twitter, Stewart simply tweeted the eyes emoji.
