Elon Musk is expected to make an appearance on Real Time with Bill Maher this week. The HBO host announced that the businessman will make an appearance during the show’s Overtime segment on Friday.

“He’s gonna be a guest on our show next week,” Maher told his panel last week. Instantly, the audience’s reaction was mixed. Some clapped and some groaned.

The HBO host told audiences that he wanted to talk to Musk to discuss the debate surrounding the habitability of Mars among other topics.

“However bad we ruin the Earth, it can not be worse than a place that has no air, is 200 degrees below zero, and [is] a long way away, and has 6-month dust storms,” Bill told viewers.

Elon Musk has said that he believes missions to Mars will commence in the next ten years. The Tesla and Twitter chief also hopes to build a city of one million people on Mars.

We expect Musk to speak more on his plans for the planet and his ongoing work with SpaceX.

The Twitter CEO has recently sat down with a number of media personalities. In recent weeks, Elon has engaged in discussions with Fox News’ Tucker Carlson, the BBC and Graham Stephan.

Bill Maher is no enemy to Elon Musk

Elon may be a little more to the right than Maher but the Twitter CEO is no enemy in Maher’s eyes.

Bill has often defended Musk, often calling out liberals who are quick to denounce him.

When Musk first took over at Twitter, Bill was quick to support the change in leadership, hoping Elon would revolutionise the social media platform as a space for freedom of speech. Both Elon and Bill have protested against political correctness and woke culture in recent years, arguing it damages the mechanisms of a healthy democracy.

We can also expect this to be a point of conversation when the two sit down in a few days’ time.
