Bill Maher appears to be the liberal role model for producers at Fox News. Even after the HBO host bashed the network for reporting blatant lies, the conservative channel continues to highlight his most popular talking points.

Earlier this week, Bill Maher went after the network after it was revealed that Fox had settled with Dominion Voting Systems for $787.5 million. The news network knowingly aired false and misleading information regarding the 2020 election according to early information provided in the case.

A number of Fox hosts platformed election deniers despite labelling such theories about the vote as completely false behind the scenes.

Since then, Fox has stayed rather quiet on the subject and now hopes the little dignity they carry left will guide them away from controversy like this in the future.

Bill Maher calls out Fox News for lying

Maher responded to the news over Fox’s day out to court on Real Time, labelling the news network as liars.

“They avoided a trial and the harrowing prospect of having to swear to tell the truth,” Maher told viewers on Friday.

“On the air, the Fox news people were towing the Trump line. Behind the scenes, they knew it was bull****.”

Maher has often gone after Fox for spreading misinformation, despite publically admitting to trying to negotiate an appearance on the channel.

Speaking on Howie Mandel’s podcast in June, Maher said: “I am booked on Fox News, now we are negotiating and I’m going to do Tucker Carlson”.

Viewers were divided over Bill’s decision to appear, with many calling for the host to drop the talks. It seems after the recent news with Dominion, Maher will be less likely to appear anywhere near a Fox News broadcast.

Fox show Bill Maher highlight

Despite his bashing, Fox News surprisingly decided to air a short highlight of Maher during a daytime broadcast.

After Bill Maher aired a segment celebrating those fighting back against cancel culture, Fox were quick to relay this to their viewers.

Comments under the channel’s video on Maher appeared equally as appreciative. One read: “Bill Maher deserves a humanitarian award.”

We’re not quite sure if the news network has caught up with all of Maher’s recent commentary!
