The Late Show has produced some hilarious viral moments over the years but nothing can really come close to the various appearances Gordon Ramsay has made on the late-night show.

Back in 2017, the British Chef joined Colbert to promote his television show, The F Word.

During the interview, Colbert asked Ramsay if he could put his culinary skills to the test by making a classic peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

Stephen Colbert and Gordon Ramsay debate deep-fried turkey

Before Colbert got prepared, the two took time to debate the traditional deep-fried turkey, a traditional dish associated with Thanksgiving.

Ramsay explained to Colbert that he had first learnt of the dish when visiting a friend in Los Angeles for the American holiday season.

“He wheeled this big bird down and deep fried this thing and it was f****** disgusting,” Ramsay told the late-night host.

“Dry turkey? There’s a reason we only eat that bird once a year. Roast it.”

Stephen was quick to defend the dish and deep frying in general, noting his Southern roots.

Colbert makes a PB&J sandwich

As Colbert wrapped up his interview with the multi-Michelin award-winning chef, the CBS host had one last request for the chef.

“Right now. I’ve always wanted to make something and have you yell at me. I would like to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.”

Gordon was quick to catch onto the irony of the segment but agreed to review Colbert’s food preparation skills.

Things turned south rather quickly however after Gordon noted a number of incredibly obvious errors. Colbert was picked up on ripping the sandwich, his spreading skills and that bread wasn’t toasted.

There’s really nothing more comical than watching the world’s most famous chef forced to review the preparation of a PB&J. Hats off to the producer with that golden idea.

After seeing far too much for his liking, Ramsay threw Colbert’s creation across the studio in dismay much to the amusement of the studio audience.

This wasn’t the first time Ramsay has been called in by a late-night host to share some cooking advice. Back in 2014, Jimmy Kimmel invited Ramsay to cook scrambled eggs on air. The segment went south rather quickly.
