Howard Stern has called on Jon Stewart to run for President after publically praising the former Daily Show host.

Speaking on Monday, Stern told listeners that he believes Stewart would be the perfect fit for President after watching a number of clips of the comedian on vacation.

“Over vacation, I’m watching a ton of this one guy, and I’m watching him debate all kinds of different people. He knew more than any of them,” the radio host said.

Stewart has had quite the year in the spotlight during his second season of The Problem with Jon Stewart on Apple+. In recent months, the comedian has made headlines across the world with his revelatory interviews.

With his Apple+ show gaining more and more traction, many see Stewart as the perfect candidate to run as a Democrat in the upcoming 2024 presidential election.

Jon has responded to rumours that he may run in 2024 and has confirmed he has no intention of launching a political campaign for The White House.

Responding to predictions, Stewart made his position clear on Twitter, saying: “Ummm…No thank you”.

“The guy is so f–king smart and bright and also witty and really measured when he takes on a debate,” Stern continued this week. “He knows how to talk. You know he would work his ass off to be a good president. I’m telling you, he could also win, because people like Jon Stewart.”

Howard Stern has been particularly open in his political leanings in recent years. It’s no surprise the Sirius XM host is totally in favour of Stewart’s recent work.

Stern has been openly critical of former President Trump in recent years despite having had a close relationship with the Republican in the past. However, with Stern now openly supporting Stewart, we can assume the 69-year-old will likely vote for the Dems come 2024.
