Who’s hosting Saturday Night Live tonight, February 4?
By Matt Moore
Saturday Night Live returns tonight with another brand new episode. So who will SNL fans see take the stage at Studio 8H?
Tonight marks the third consecutive week with a new episode following Saturday Night Live‘s return from its holiday break. Aubrey Plaza and Michael B. Jordan both proved to be worthy selections as hosts.
There are plenty of reasons to think SNL made it three in a row with tonight’s host. The Last of Us and The Mandalorian star Pedro Pascal will host for the first time. He’ll be joined by Coldplay as the musical guest.
Pascal is having a monster year, and it’s only February. Saturday Night Live is fortunate to have such a popular star at the height of his powers on the show tonight.
Can Pedro Pascal keep up on Saturday Night Live?
There’s not too much overt comedy in Pedro Pascal’s two biggest shows right now. Few fans are tuning into The Last of Us or The Mandalorian for a laugh. But that doesn’t mean Pascal can’t deliver.
He’s got enough comedy credits on his resume to suggest he’ll be able to fit right in alongside Kenan Thompson, Mikey Day, Ego Nwodim, and the rest of the SNL cast. Movies like The Bubble, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, and Kingsman: The Golden Circle should have prepared Pascal.
Then there’s everything Pascal brings to the table when he’s just being himself. Watch any interview with the actor and you can see why he’s amassed such a following. Expect Pascal to be willing to do just about anything on SNL tonight — and for SNL to oblige.
