Gutfeld explains why Democrats can’t agree with Republicans
By Sam Linden
Greg Gutfeld, host of the Fox News show Gutfeld!, explained the reason why Democrats and Republicans cannot agree. The show host discussed what “really troubles the left,” and Democrats being forced to agree with the opposing party.
Matching Morals
Gutfeld started his monologue by highlighting Balenciaga’s recent backlash over a disturbing photo shoot for an ad campaign that involved kids, teddy bears in bondage, and Supreme Court documents detailing a child pornography case. It’s very apparent that the backlash has most definitely been deserved.
The show host noted that Balenciaga was eventually backed into a corner after trying to throw others under the bus and was forced to apologize. The apology is an admittance of wrongdoing and an acknowledgment that what they did was wrong. It’s the agreement that what they did was wrong which Greg used to further develop his point.
Gutfeld told viewers that, “what really troubles the left…it’s never the crime or the criminal. It’s about when such incidents force [Democrats] to agree with conservatives, and they hate that.”
Guilt by association
The show host revealed: “[The left] can’t agree with the right because then they lose their cachet, so they won’t.”
Greg continued by stating that the left would rather be left in an uncomfortable position than have to agree with conservative views. He highlighted that the left can’t condemn heinous and outrageous actions and statements if it in turn forces them to agree with a conservative opinion.
Gutfeld went on to imply that in some cases the left will say something or fixate on an agenda simply because the right isn’t. For example, he pointed out that the left still insists on making children wear masks and claimed that they are only saying it because Republicans aren’t.
“If there’s a choice to condemn evil, they won’t, if they share that opinion with you or me!,” he told viewers.
Fox News is hated by the rest
Further into the show, Gutfeld talked amongst his guests about the popularity of Fox News. He brought up the idea that when Fox is on top of a huge story, other media outlets will leave it alone for that reason. “Yep…Fox News is envied by competitors,” guest John Moody replied.
