Who’s hosting Saturday Night Live tonight, October 29?

Saturday Night Live returns tonight following a week off. So who will SNL fans see take the stage in Studio 8H as host?
SNL fans didn’t hesitate to share their picks for who should host in season 48. However, none of the top picks were selected for the first three episodes of the season.
Tonight, Saturday Night Live continues its trend of unexpected hosts. Rapper Jack Harlow will host along with serving as the musical guest.
The choice to have Harlow pull double duty is a little surprising. Not because of Harlow, but because the previous episode also had the same host and musical guest in Megan Thee Stallion.
Can Jack Harlow keep up on Saturday Night Live?
Jack Harlow comes to Saturday Night Live without any prior acting experience. Still, that didn’t stop him from getting cast in the upcoming White Men Can’t Jump reboot. Harlow must have shown off his acting chops somewhere to get that gig, followed by Lorne Michaels’ trust.
Some weight should be taken off Harlow’s shoulders by the return of Cecily Strong. The veteran cast member missed the first three episodes while she finished up her play in Los Angeles. Both the in-studio crowd and audiences at home will be thrilled to see her back on SNL.
It also helps that tonight is the Halloween episode. Like every other holiday, Halloween tends to bring out the best in Saturday Night Live. Harlow could star in a hit Halloween sketch if he isn’t asked to do too much.
If all else fails, Harlow can always do what he does best: rap. He was a musical guest back in 2021 and appeared in a Pete Davidson-led rap parody about NFTs. There’s no reason not to give Harlow another opportunity to do something similar. The catch? Davidson and Chris Redd aren’t around to help carry the load.
