On Thursday night, Jeopardy! began the finals of its inaugural second-chance tournament. So which player has the lead heading into tomorrow’s final game?

The tournament has seen some fan-favorite players return to Jeopardy! and get their shot at more money. Players who finished in second place during last season comprised the field of competitors.

Who won Jeopardy! tonight?

The three finalists that squared off tonight were Molly Karol, a CPA from Austin, Texas, Jessica Stephens, a statistical research specialist from Nashville, Tennessee, and James Fraser, a Naval aviator from Newport Beach, California.

It was a tight game after the “Jeopardy!” round ended. Stephens led with $7,600 followed by Fraser with $7,000. Karol had some work to do, finishing in third with $2,800.

“Double Jeopardy!” saw Fraser jump into the lead with $19,930. Stephens dropped to second with $15,600 while Karol remained in third with $10,400.

All three players answered “Final Jeopardy!” correctly. James Fraser wagered just enough to maintain his lead over Jessica Stephens and win the game.

The three players will return on Friday for another game, with their winnings added to Thursday night’s totals.
