Bill Maher has revealed this week that he is in talks with Tucker Carlson for the Fox News host to appear on the Club Random podcast.

Speaking to NewsWeek, he revealed: “I’m one of the only ones in entertainment who does that regularly, invites people on with an opposing point of view.”

“I like to hear people’s different point of views, and we don’t always agree,.”

The host went on to admit he has been in active talks with Fox News host, Tucker Carlson: “Tucker Carlson and I are trying to work out a mutual interview schedule. It’s very difficult because apparently he tapes in an undisclosed location and I can’t find him. We’re never in the same city, but we want to do it.”

Maher continued, criticising MSNBC for its supposed biased coverage. He said, “Every show on MSNBC should be called ‘You’re So Right, Chris’ or whatever those dudes are. It’s just people talking to the amen corner.”

Tucker Carlson on Club Random, Bill Maher on Fox

Earlier this year, Bill Maher told Howie Mandel that he was also seeking a guest appearance on Fox News.

“I want to be [on Fox]. I’ve tried to be. And now, because of that and because I tweeted about it, now I am booked on Fox News, now we are negotiating and I’m going to do Tucker Carlson,” he said.

Maher also noted he had initially turned down an interview with Carlson after producers allegedly wanted to focus on topics the two agree on.

The Real Time host has invited a variety of guests to his home in California to tape episodes of his newly formed podcast. Personalities including Piers Morgan, Quentin Tarantino and Mike Tyson have all made appearances at the Club Random studio.
