Why did Meghan Markle cancel her Jimmy Fallon interview? Explained.
Meghan Markle has cancelled her Tonight Show appearance, reports are suggesting. Amidst the ongoing mourning of Queen Elizabeth’s death, the Duchess of Sussex is supposedly adamant on reducing her time in the limelight for the time being.
A source told Page Six: “Meghan was due on Fallon. I don’t even know what she was going to talk about, but that’s obviously canceled now.”
The Duchess of Sussex is also reportedly putting new episodes of her recently founded podcast, Archetypes on hold.
Whilst there is no official confirmation as to either sudden decision, we expect the upcoming funeral of the late Queen Elizabeth has played a major role.
Both Meghan and Harry are currently residing in the United Kingdom before the funeral next Monday.
Markle met with warm welcome in Windsor
Despite receiving ongoing criticism from British tabloids over her supposed betrayal of the Royal Family, Markle was met with a warm welcome in Windsor this week.
She was seen hugging a girl whilst meeting members of the public in the English town, a moment which has now transformed into a viral online clip.
Speaking to CNN, the teen opened up on her opportunity: “We were just waiting for her to come, and she just came near me and asked my name, and how my day was, how long I was waiting. I asked if she could have a hug, and she hugged me back.”
“It was just quite an amazing moment. I’m still shaking now. I really can’t explain what the feeling was when she did it, but it was really nice.”
The girl went on to admit sympathy for the Duchess over a troubled past few years in Royal controversy. Markle became a global figure last year after she revealed a number of worrying claims of racism and hostility from the firm.
