The Late Show with Stephen Colbert finally returned from its summer hiatus last week. But what should late-night TV fans expect to see tonight on CBS?

Stephen Colbert jumped right into the Mar-a-Lago/classified documents story when he kicked off a new season of The Late Show last Tuesday. However, some fans were still disappointed when Colbert was off on Friday.

If you’re in that crowd, then we’ve got more bad news for you tonight: There will not be a new episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight.

Instead, CBS will reair the September 6 episode. Interested fans can see Colbert chat with journalist Alex Wagner and Daily Show correspondent Roy Wood, Jr. again.

So why isn’t The Late Show new tonight? Colbert and some of the staff are in Los Angeles for the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards. The show is up for Outstanding Variety Talk Series against Jimmy Kimmel Live!The Daily Show with Trevor NoahLast Week Tonight with John Oliver, and Late Night with Seth Meyers.

What to watch instead of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight

The Emmys start at 8:00 p.m. ET on NBC for anyone interested in watching. For late-night TV fans, there are limited options for tonight as the other nominated shows join Stephen Colbert in Los Angeles.

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon has a new episode scheduled for after the awards. Drew Barrymore, Mo Amer, and Burna Boy are on the guest list.

The Late Late Show with James Corden also has a new show planned for Monday night. Bradley Whitford, Camila Mendes, and Tai Verdes are set to appear on the CBS show beginning at 12:35 a.m.
