Bill Maher returned to the topic of COVID-19 on the most recent episode of his Club Random podcast.

Whilst speaking to Aaron Rodgers, the two took issue with the governmental handling of the pandemic.

The host told his guest, “This is ideology. This is not medicine. This is indoctrination. To me, the frightening was never the disease itself. The frightening thing was how much you could get people, so quickly, to change their way of life.”

Rodgers agreed, arguing that “just about every conspiracy theory came true.”

Continuing, “Vaccine mandates, vaccine passports.. away from doing your job to stop the spread.”

The conversation over vaccine and mask mandates continues to be a contentious political topic, despite the Western world seeing somewhat of an end to the pandemic.

The Green Bay Packers quarterback relied on his knowledge of shut down small business to support his concern over the regulatory measures between 2020 and 2021.

Bill Maher bashes relief funding: America has “gone soft”

Maher continued, on the discussion of the pandemic, speaking on the government’s relief program.

“We passed out six trillion dollars and the sad fact about that is that a very big big big chunk of it was stolen,” he said.

“I mean, we spend more to keep people hiding under the bed than we did for World War 2. World War 2 cost four trillion, and we passed out almost 6 trillion for this. I mean, wow. Talk about a country that’s gone a little soft”.

The Real Time host did admit to taking one vaccine, despite being offered a further two by the peak of the Omicron spike. His guest, Aaron Rodgers confidently told viewers he was still unvaccinated.

The football player did mention, during a podcast appearance last year, that he would still not describe himself as anti-vax.
