Is Jeopardy! new tonight, August 31?
By Matt Moore
Will the last day in August bring the month’s first new episode of Jeopardy!? That’s certainly the hope among the game show’s millions of fans.
The last time we got a new episode of Jeopardy! was back at the end of July. Luigi de Guzman became the new champion, winning just over $23,000 in an impressive debut performance. The show has since run repeat episodes revisiting some memorable moments from the past season.
Fans should look for that to continue on Wednesday. There will not be a new episode of Jeopardy! tonight.
Instead, the April 28 episode will air once again. It features champion Mattea Roach going up against Manav Jain and Renée Russell. Russel, a branch office administrator from Baltimore, Maryland, earned an invitation to the second chance tournament with her performance.
When does Jeopardy! return with new episodes?
It’s been a long, long August for Jeopardy! fans eager to see new episodes. The good news is that they won’t have to wait much longer.
Jeopardy! season 39 will premiere on September 12. Luigi de Guzman will be back and get his first chance to defend his title as the current champion
Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik will also be back for the 39th season. The pair will continue to split hosting duties for regular games and the special tournaments coming over the next year.
