Mondays can be difficult to get through, but it’s a little better when The Late Show with Stephen Colbert is waiting to help end your day. So what should late-night TV fans expect to see tonight on CBS?

For the past two weeks, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert was on hiatus. Repeat episodes aired while Stephen Colbert and his team got some much-deserved rest.

Unfortunately for fans, that rest will continue on Monday night. There will not be a new episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight.

Instead, CBS will reair the August 29 episode. Fans can tune in again to see Colbert welcome a guest lineup that included Kiernan Culkin, Run The Jewels, and Joe Walsh.

Staring a third week with a rerun is a bit surprising. Some, including us here at Last Night On, figured that Colbert and company would be back tonight. However, that won’t be the case as the show remains on vacation.

What to watch instead of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight

Typically, the good news is that late-night TV fans have other options if Stephen Colbert doesn’t have a new episode. But, that isn’t quite the case on Monday.

Just about every show will air a repeat episode tonight. The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy FallonJimmy Kimmel Live!Late Night with Seth Meyers, and The Daily Show with Trevor Noah all plan to take off Monday night. There are only a few weeks left in summer, so it looks like late-night TV wants to soak up those final few days.

The Late Late Show with James Corden will be the only option for new content on Monday night. The CBS show will welcome Heidi Klum, David LaChapelle, and Ian Karmel to the program. It all kicks off at 12:35 a.m. ET.
