Sunday night is here, which means late-night TV fans want to end their weekend with Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. So what should they expect to see tonight on HBO?

The show is coming off a week in which it took a closer look at carbon offsets. Last week’s episode also examined Alaska’s special election. Since then, a lot has happened that could use John Oliver’s perspective.

Unfortunately, we won’t get to hear it on Sunday night. There will not be a new episode of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver tonight.

Instead, HBO will be all about House of the Dragon tonight. Episode two airs at 9:00 p.m. ET and the premium cable network will continue to show the episode throughout the night.

If you’re an HBO Max subscriber, then you should have access to full episodes. Check out your favorite shows from this season and past years.

Those options will have to hold you over for a while, too. Last Week Tonight with John Oliver isn’t scheduled to return until September 11.
