U-turn! Bill Maher calls Donald Trump’s political influence “impressive”

And finally, Bill Maher had some surprising words for Donald Trump this week. The HBO host admitted to viewers that he finds Trump’s political influence when endorsing candidates, “impressive”.

Maher said on Friday night, “Eighty-five percent of the people Trump endorsed won: 151 out of 178.”

“Say what you want about Mr. Evil, but boy, what a politician. I mean, that’s impressive – in an evil way, but still, impressive.”

It is widely assumed that Donald Trump will officially announce his campaign for Presidency imminently after he has made several hints throughout the year to media outlets.

Despite the HBO host’s slight compliment to the former president, Maher remains no fan of Donald Trump. Just last week, the host went on a scathing rant about the Republican figure’s now famed FBI raid.

Trump attacks Maher once again

It seems Trump, in recent days, has paid close attention to Maher’s harsh words. In a statement, the former President wrote this week: “Every time low ratings dummy Bill Maher has anything nasty to say about your favorite President, me, Fox finds a way to put him on, usually sandwiched in between really bad anti-Trump ads.”

“Maher is a loser, and MAGA gets it – but Fox doesn’t.”

It’s difficult to make sense of why Maher would even attempt to discuss Trump’s political qualities after the former President attacked the host publicly. We’re quite sure this won’t be the end of this exciting feud between the two.
