Viewers in fury over “bottom of barrel” Piers Morgan on Real Time with Bill Maher
Piers Morgan will make yet another return to Real Time with Bill Maher tonight. The Fox Nation anchor is facing major backlash online over his upcoming appearance, with many mocking the show’s ability to book worthy guests.
Piers Morgan was once a modest TV liberal. Nowadays, the traditional left see no grace left in the Murdoch-paid news anchor. Recent reports are suggesting his primetime show is on the brink of collapse, with the programme seeing a drastic drop in viewers from its debut episode in April.
In May, an episode of Fox Nation’s Piers Morgan Uncensored wrapped up with just 10,000 or so viewers. The anchor’s YouTube figures see no real success either. The outstanding majority of the programme’s uploads fail to reach anywhere above 15,000 views.
Despite all of this, Morgan is keen to press on, now returning to the United States on what can only be assumed as another promotional TV tour.
Viewers in fury over Piers Morgan appearance on Real Time
This week, Real Time revealed Piers Morgan would make an appearance on tonight’s episode. Regular viewers of the show were quick to react, with many distraught at the decision to book the Fox host.
“Couldn’t get anybody with any credibility?” one user wrote on Twitter.
Another reacted, “I’m all for hearing other opinions and voices I don’t agree with but I don’t see the point of Morgan. He’s been discredited a thousand times over. There’s no value here.”
“Well, since bloated windbag Piers Morgan is going to be there, I’ll take a hard pass. Maybe next week,” an additional tweet read.
Piers Morgan has tweeted, however, that he regards Real Time as one of his “favourite shows”.
