Jeopardy! fans were thrown for a loop last night when they tuned in and found a rerun. So what should fans expect to see tonight?

Many viewers flipped on Jeopardy! thinking they would see current champion Luigi de Guzman defend his title. He was looking to add to his jackpot that stood at just over $23,000.

Unfortunately, we won’t see that title defense continue on Tuesday night. There will not be a new episode of Jeopardy! tonight.

Instead, the game show will continue its showcase of some of the season’s most exciting episodes. Tonight, fans get to rewatch Matt Amodio in his 27th game from September 23, 2021.

When does Jeopardy! return with new episodes?

Jeopardy! will continue to show reruns for the remainder of August and into September. All told, the show plans to highlight 30 of last season’s best games.

Season 39 of the quiz show kicks off on September 12. Luigi de Guzman will get his chance to add to his bank account as the returning champion.

And as previously announced, Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik will continue to split hosting duties. While some fans hoped to see a single permanent host declared, they can expect to see both hosts come the fall.
