An online rumour has suggested that Bill Maher had a couple escorted out by security during one of his stand up shows in Vegas this week.

The comedian performed two nights at The Mirage for the Aces of Comedy event, alongside George Lopez and Daniel Tosh.

One user via Maher’s dedicated subreddit has alleged that the HBO host had a couple removed during his performance: “There was a really rowdy couple right behind me and they got so bad that Bill called security to have them removed. Aside from that minor upset the show was great!”

Despite the rumour, there is no definite proof this occurred.

Maher has stepped away from his weekly HBO show alongside a number of other late night hosts, whilst the programme went on a short summer hiatus. Instead, the comedian hit the road to continue his stand up work shortly after releasing his latest special, #Adulting.

Maher’s latest set of shows in Vegas have attracted quite the online attention this week, however. Alongside the rumour that the comedian had a couple escorted out during his routine, a viral Twitter post also exposed a half empty theatre in attendance to his Mirage show.

Further rumours suggested that the venue had attempted to sell discounted tickets for the evening performances in an attempt to fill up seats.
