Real Time’s Bill Maher sat down with Adam Corolla recently, opening up on his strict daily health plan.

The HBO host began by telling the radio show host he opts out of breakfast: “This three meals a day thing is just something someone pulled right out of their ***. There’s no scientific literature for that”.

Maher continued, “I regret so many years of my life when I sort of forced having three meals a day cause it was just in my head.”

He went on to admit to not eating breakfast and only drinking one cup of coffee a day, around an hour after waking.

“I have my first meal, which is a shake I make, it’s got a raw egg in it, yogurt and a lot of good stuff,” he said. “I get up pretty late, I get up at like eleven so I have that around two or three. If I get hungry around six or seven, you know, nuts is a great snack.”

Maher admitted his more “traditional” meal comes in the later hours of the day, where the host will likely eat fish or chicken, despite misconceptions he is a vegetarian.

“I’m not doing carbs at all,” the comedian added. “Maybe every couple of weeks I’m at a restaurant, I don’t want to be an ass****, I will have a hamburger bun or something”.

When does Real Time return to HBO?

Real Time has been on a short hiatus this month, alongside a number of other late night shows in the similar weekday timeslot. Whilst Maher has continued to host his Club Random podcast, he will make a grand return to his political panel show on the 29th July (next Friday).
