Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene provided yet another unhinged rant on Twitter this morning, claiming her office was “targeted” by host, Stephen Colbert‘s crew.

Earlier this month, a number of The Late Show’s crew were arrested for supposed trespassing close to the Capitol Building whilst filming segments for the late night show. Colbert later assured viewers that the crew had sought permission and had received authorised access.

CBS also issued a statement on the matter, claiming the visit was “authorized and pre-arranged through Congressional aides of the members interviewed.”

The Congresswomen took issue with the recent decision from the DOJ for the staffers to not face prosecution after an ongoing investigation into the incident.

In a tweet, she wrote, “The Stephen Colbert crew targeted my office and was arrested by Capitol Police because they were not supposed to be in the building. The DOJ refuses to prosecute. Two-tiered justice system.”

Users are already reacting to the Representative’s comments on Twitter, mocking Taylor Greene for her theatrics.

One responded to the Congresswomen’s tweet, writing: “They didn’t try to overthrow democracy. Do you need htlo understanding the difference?”

Another wrote, “I don’t think they were there to hang you and cause an insurrection. Pump the brakes. Maybe post some solutions to some problems that actually matter.”

Greene’s dramatic response to the DOJ’s decision is far from surprising. The Congresswomen has been under the spotlight for some time due to her alleged involvement in the January 6th insurrection, where hundreds of Trump supporters unlawfully entered the Capitol building in an attempt to halt official election protocol.

Greene did respond to these claims, claiming she only supports “peaceful protest” despite prior to the violent event, labelling the demonstration a “1776 moment”.
