By Matt Moore
Jeopardy! finished off the week with another brand new episode. Did our returning champion win again or was a new winner crowned?
After Ryan Long put together a 15-game winning streak, his successor has proven to be worthy. It has been tough sledding for new players over the past month.
Who is the current Jeopardy! champion?
Eric Ahasic, a meteorologist from Minneapolis, Minnesota, is the current Jeopardy! champion. He entered Friday’s game with four wins and $105,801 in the bank.
His competition tonight included Siobhan Doherty, a voice and speech teacher originally from Santa Barbara, California, and Randy Moss, an attorney from Walnut Creek, California.
All three players displayed impressive knowledge in the “Jeopardy!” round. Ahasic led with $7,600, followed by Moss with $5,400 and Doherty with $2,400.
Ahasic went 16-for16 in “Double Jeopardy!” on his way to banking $28,400. Moss remained in second place with $13,800 and Doherty trailed in third with $3,600.
There wasn’t much at stake in “Final Jeopardy!” tonight. Ahasic didn’t come up with the correct response, but it only cost him $400. He won again and remains the Jeopardy! champion.
What was tonight’s Final Jeopardy! clue?
Only one player managed to come up with the correct “Final Jeopardy!” response tonight. Here’s the clue in the category “The Western Hemisphere”:

Answer: What is Peru?
Eric Ahasic and Siobhan Doherty both guessed Ecuador as their response. Only Randy Moss correctly came up with Peru.
