Jeopardy! closed out the week with another brand new episode on Friday night. Did our returning champion extend their streak?

The current Jeopardy! champion has held the title for the past 15 games. Along the way, fans have rallied behind them as one of the show’s newest fan-favorites.

Who is the current Jeopardy! champion?

Ryan Long, a rideshare driver from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is the current Jeopardy! champion. He’s won $279,400 so far and secured his spot in the upcoming Tournament of Champions.

His competition on Friday included Wyatt Yankus, a policy analyst from Washington, D.C., and Lucia Yang, a medical and doctoral student originally from San Diego, California.

It was a tight game after the “Jeopardy!” round. With $4,600, Long held a slight lead over Yankus ($4,200). Meanwhile, Yang looked to make up ground after posting $600.

However, Long pulled away after “Double Jeopardy!” finished. He banked $19,200. Yankus sat in second with $8,800, followed by Yang with $4,200.

Both Long and Yankus answered “Final Jeopardy!” correctly. Long’s comfortable lead let him add a modest $800 to his total. He remains the Jeopardy! champion and has now won $299,400 through 16 games.
