A late-night TV fan-favorite returns on Wednesday. Don’t miss David Spade on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Spade made a name for himself in late-night TV, first on Saturday Night Live and then as the host of multiple shows in the genre including the criminally short-lived Lights Out with David Spade.

Along the way, he’s had a successful film career and remains one of the most popular comedians working today.

On top of all that, he’s easily among the best late-night TV guests around. Like Bill Burr or Will Ferrell, David Spade is a can’t-miss guest regardless of what show he visits.

Tonight, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon gets the honor. Spade will be the lead guest in a lineup that also includes Quinta Brunson, Chef Daniel Humm, and Lucky Daye.

Spade has multiple projects to promote when he sits down with Jimmy Fallon. His new Netflix comedy special Nothing Personal was released this week. Spade also co-hosts the podcast Fly on the Wall with fellow SNL alum Dana Carvey. The podcast is essential listening for SNL fans. Plus, he recently announced a comedy tour that will take him across the U.S. and Canada.

David Spade has provided fantastic Tonight Show appearances in the past

Even if he had nothing to promote, David Spade would be a worthwhile late-night TV guest. The comedian is a natural storyteller, effortlessly moving between subtle one-liners you may miss and getting big laughs from making himself the punchline.

To prepare for tonight’s show, check out some of Spade’s best segments on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon below.

Once Spade shares any anecdotes or bits he has on his mind, expect him to provide some insight on his new projects. It’s been a while since he had a comedy special, so Spade could explain why he was ready to jump back into it now. He’ll undoubtedly plug the podcast too, especially while being interviewed by another Saturday Night Live graduate in Jimmy Fallon.

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon airs at 11:35 p.m. ET on NBC.
