Friday night means it’s time for Real Time with Bill Maher. So should late-night TV fans expect to see a new episode?

Like the rest of late-night, Bill Maher has spent the past few weeks covering the war in Ukraine and the confirmation of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson. In typical Maher fashion, he’s made headlines for his perspective.

There’s no reason to expect anything different on Friday. There will be a brand new episode of Real Time with Bill Maher.

Maher will undoubtedly touch on the newly confirmed Supreme Court Justice Jackson, Russia’s attacks in Ukraine, and more. He may even weigh in on his fellow late-night host Jimmy Kimmel and his run-in with Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene.

Who’s on Real Time with Bill Maher tonight?

First up, Bill Maher interviews David Mamet. It will be the playwright and author’s second visit to Real Time.

Mamet’s latest book is Recessional: The Death of Free Speech and the Cost of a Free Lunch. Maher loves defending free speech and mocking “wokeness” along with political correctness. He and Mamet should see eye-to-eye.

Then, it’s time for the panel. Both guests have appeared on Real Time with Bill Maher in the past.

Nancy MacLean is a Duke University historian and author. Her book Democracy in Chains: The Deep History of the Radical Right’s Stealth Plan for America hits on many of the criticisms of the modern GOP.

David Leonhardt is a journalist and the columnist behind “The Morning” newsletter from The New York Times. In recent weeks, he’s been covering the debate over masks and their impact on the country’s public health.
