The Late Show with Stephen Colbert was off the air last week, leaving late-night TV fans without their favorite show. So what should audiences expect to see tonight on CBS?

Some fans felt disappointed they didn’t get to hear Stephen Colbert share his thoughts on last week’s headlines. The Late Show remained on a hiatus that began the week prior.

But there’s good news on this Monday: there will be a brand new episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight.

Like the other late-night TV hosts, Stephen Colbert is expected to weigh in on the Will Smith-Chris Rock event from last night’s Academy Awards. Then, Colbert’s monologue should pick up on the latest on Ukraine and Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson’s confirmation hearings.

Who’s on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight?

First up, Stephen Colbert will interview journalist Chris Wallace. Wallace is about to launch his new interview series Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace? on CNN+.

Wallace left Fox News in December 2021. He recently shared the thought process behind his decision, noting that too many people involved with Fox began to “question the truth.”

Considering how much Stephen Colbert enjoys mocking Fox News and personalities such as Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, and Laura Ingraham, he should have plenty of questions for Wallace.

Then, actor Wilmer Valderrama joins The Late Show. His NCIS character Nick Torres is scheduled to make his debut on NCIS: Hawai’i. Valderrama is also still riding the success of Encanto in which he provided the voice of Agustín Madrigal.

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert airs tonight at 11:35 p.m. ET on CBS.
