Is The Late Show with Stephen Colbert new tonight, March 17?

The weekend is in sight, but there are still a few more days to get through before the week is over. Will there be a brand new episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Thursday night to help move things along?

Stephen Colbert has spent the week continuing The Late Show‘s coverage of the war in Ukraine. Colbert’s monologues have celebrated Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, vilified Russian President Vladimir Putin, and mocked Fox News host Tucker Carlson.

Unfortunately, late-night TV fans won’t get to hear Colbert’s latest on Thursday. There will not be a new episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight.

Instead, CBS will reair the February 16 episode. Audiences get another chance to see Colbert interview Daniel Craig and Doris Kearns Goodwin.

The Late Show typically doesn’t air a new episode on Friday nights, so it looks like Colbert and company took off early for a break. Next week will also be five nights of repeats.

What to watch instead of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight

The good news is that in late-night TV, there is no shortage of options. Just because The Late Show has the night off doesn’t mean that fans are without an alternative.

Jimmy Kimmel Live! will air a new episode on ABC featuring Adam Scott and Charlie Puth. The show starts at 11:35 p.m. ET.

At the same time, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon has a new episode on NBC. The guest lineup includes Billy Crystal, Emilia Jones, and Normani.

Late Night with Seth Meyers also has a new episode. It will welcome Penelope Cruz, Hugh Dancy, Paul Feig, and Larnell Lewis to the show, starting at 12:35 a.m.

The Daily Show with Trevor Noah also plans to air a brand new episode at 11:00 p.m. Trevor Noah is set to interview Tiffanie Drayton.
