It’s Friday night and for late-night TV fans, that means it’s time for Real Time with Bill Maher. So should audiences expect to see a brand new episode tonight on HBO?

We last heard from Bill Maher back on February 25. That means we’ve yet to hear the Real Time host share his thoughts on how things have developed with Russia’s invasion of Ukraine or President Joe Biden’s response.

Expect that to change on Friday night. There will be a brand new episode of Real Time with Bill Maher tonight.

Maher’s monologue will likely start off with the war in Ukraine. He’ll probably also touch on the latest U.S. sanctions against Russia.

Who’s on Real Time with Bill Maher tonight?

First up, Bill Maher will interview director and actor Kenneth Branagh. He’s out promoting his latest film Belfast, nominated for seven Academy Awards.

The semi-autobiographical film examines life in Northern Ireland during The Troubles beginning in the late ’60s. Maher will likely look for Branagh to discuss how the film relates to today’s social, political, and religious climate.

Then, it’s time for the panel. It will feature one returning guest and one guest making their Real Time with Bill Maher debut.

Frank Bruni is a Duke University professor of public policy. His latest book is The Beauty of Dusk: On Vision Lost and Found, a memoir chronicling his partial loss of sight.

Batya Ungar-Sargon serves as deputy opinion editor of Newsweek. She’s also the author of Bad News: How Woke Media Is Undermining Democracy, exploring American journalism in recent history.

Real Time with Bill Maher airs at 10:00 p.m. ET on HBO. You can submit questions for “Overtime” on social media using #RTOvertime.
