On Wednesday night’s Jeopardy!, returning champion Margaret Shelton defended her title against two challengers. Here’s how everything played out in tonight’s game.

Shelton, a homemaker from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, defeated Christine Whelchel on Tuesday night during an exciting match. She finished the game with winnings totaling $16,600.

Wednesday, she faced off against Ujal Thakor, a director of strategy from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and Christie Baugher, a writer & legal assistant originally from Louisville, Kentucky.

Similar to the night before, tonight’s Jeopardy! ended in a close game after the first round. Shelton collected $6,600 to hold a slight lead over Thakor at $5,200. Baugher went first in “Double Jeopardy!” after earning $1,600.

Shelton managed to extend her lead in “Double Jeopardy!” tonight. She closed out the second round with $19,400, ahead of Thakor with $14,400, and Baugher at $7,600.

The leaderboard stayed the same after the “Final Jeopardy!” wagers were tallied. Shelton made it two in a row, winning tonight’s episode of Jeopardy!. Thakor came in second and Baugher finished third.
