It’s the start of a new week in a new year. So should late-night television fans expect to see a brand new The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight?

Fans have waited patiently for Stephen Colbert’s return. The comedian and his crew have enjoyed a holiday hiatus, much like the rest of the entertainment industry.

Fortunately, Colbert and company are ready to kick off 2022. There will be a brand new episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Expect Colbert’s monologue to acknowledge the new year as well as recap some of the stories from his time off. This could include Representative Marjorie Taylor Green’s Twitter suspension, the latest news from the January 6 committee, and updates on the pandemic.

Who’s on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight?

First up, Stephen Colbert will interview Centers for Disease Control Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky. She should provide Colbert with insight on where the U.S. is in combating the spread of the omicron virus while once again promoting the vaccine.

Then, Colbert chats with Ghosts star Utkarsh Ambudkar. In addition to the CBS sitcom, Ambudkar has a role in the upcoming romantic comedy Marry Me starring Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson.

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert airs tonight at 11:30 p.m. ET on CBS. Fans can also get content from Stephen Colbert with a Paramount+ subscription.
