For many of us, we’re on to night two of Thanksgiving leftovers. But will Saturday Night Live serve up something new? Or should SNL fans expect another helping of old material?

We last saw SNL back on November 20. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings star Simu Liu became the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe hero to host, delivering an admirable performance in his SNL debut.

But this week, no one will face the challenge of following up Liu’s performance. There will not be a new episode of Saturday Night Live tonight.

This shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone at home. With the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, there was no way that SNL was going to ask its cast, writers, crew, and staff to work this week and deliver a brand new episode.

Instead, NBC will reair the October 9 episode. Audiences get another chance to catch Kim Kardashian West as host and Halsey as the musical guest.

When does Saturday Night Live return?

Fans eager to see more of Saturday Night Live season 47 will have to endure a bit of a wait. After only one break so far this season, SNL is scheduled for a longer hiatus.

The next new episode of Saturday Night Live is scheduled for December 11. Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Billie Eilish will serve as both the host and the musical guest.

If you can’t wait that long for SNL content, you do have a few options. You can always check out the show’s official YouTube channel to see every sketch from this season and more, including those cut for time sketches that didn’t make it to air.

Peacock subscribers can also find SNL episodes dating back to season 1 in 1975. The streaming service is the number one option for fans of the sketch show.
