Is Saturday Night Live new tonight, October 30?

Saturday Night Live is coming off its best episode of season 47, thanks in part to host Jason Sudeikis. So how will SNL follow it up?
In the early goings of the season, ratings have been less than ideal. The premiere underperformed compared to recent years. Things didn’t get much better when Kim Kardashian West and Rami Malek hosted. However, SNL seems like it built momentum after former cast member Jason Sudeikis returned.
Unfortunately, that momentum will not get a chance to continue this week. There will not be a new episode of Saturday Night Live tonight.
Instead, NBC will reair the season 47 premiere. Interested fans can revisit host Owen Wilson’s performance as well as catch musical guest Kacey Musgraves.
Fans planning on passing on the repeat have a couple of other options for an SNL fix. The show’s official YouTube channel offers thousands of sketches, including those cut for time this season. And Peacock’s library boasts every season of SNL.
When does Saturday Night Live return?
After four consecutive weeks of new episodes to kick off the season, it comes as no surprise that Saturday Night Live is off this week. The good news is that fans won’t have to wait long for a return to Studio 8H.
SNL returns next Saturday, November 6, with a brand new episode. Succession star Kieran Culkin will serve as the host. His brother Macaulay Culkin hosted in 1991.
Singer Ed Sheeran was scheduled as the musical guest. However, his positive COVID test has forced SNL to find a suitable replacement as soon as possible. The show has yet to provide an update. A similar incident occurred last season when Morgan Waller was found to be in violation of pandemic safety protocols. Jack White stepped in to perform in the Bill Burr-hosted episode.
