Fans went without their weekly dose of Real Time with Bill Maher last week. So what should late-night TV audiences expect to see tonight on HBO?

It was the first break of the fall for Bill Maher and company last week. It gave the host a brief chance to rest as we near the end of season 19. However, Maher has shown no signs of slowing down.

Expect to see more of the same on Friday night. There will be a brand new episode of Real Time with Bill Maher tonight.

As always, Maher will have plenty of topics to choose from for his monologue. President Joe Biden’s town hall, former President Donald Trump’s new social media platform, and calls to cancel Dave Chappelle could all be up for discussion tonight.

Who’s on Real Time with Bill Maher tonight, October 22?

First up, Bill Maher interviews Saru Jayaraman. It marks her fourth appearance on Real Time.

Jayaraman is an attorney and activist, known as the co-founder of the non-profit public service organization Restaurant Opportunities Centers United. Her latest book is One Fair Wage:
Ending Subminimum Pay in America. Expect a conversation around a national minimum wage and the tipping system.

Then, Andrew Yang joins the program as a panel guest. The businessman unsuccessfully ran for president in 2016 and New York City mayor in 2021 as a democrat.

Now Yang has founded his own political action committee, The Forward Party. He also released the book Forward: Notes on the Future of Our Democracy.

John McWhorter also stops by tonight’s panel. The New York Times columnist recently published Woke Racism: How a New Religion Has Betrayed Black America. Given how much Maher has railed against cancel culture and “woke mobs,” the two should have a lot to cover.

Real Time with Bill Maher airs at 10:00 p.m. ET on HBO.
