Former President Donald Trump released a pair of messages that left Jimmy Kimmel scratching his head. The late-night TV host tried to understand Trump’s call for Republicans not to vote as well as his warning that Democrats plan to steal Christmas.

President Trump continues to argue that the 2020 election was rigged. This comes as he still teases a potential White House run in 2024. A lack of evidence and election audits demonstrating no fraud took place have not deterred the former president from making his claims. He took things a step further this week, suggesting that Republicans would not vote in 2022 or 2024 if the “presidential election fraud of 2020” wasn’t solved.

Trump followed up that message with an email to supporters calling out Dr. Anthony Fauci and Democrats. The email compared Fauci to the Grinch and the analogy was carried through to Fox News.

Jimmy Kimmel sounded very amused as he recapped the latest from Donald Trump. Check out his monologue below:

Jimmy Kimmel calls Trump a ‘baby’ who can’t get over the election

Late-night TV hosts like Jimmy Kimmel have figured out the spectrum of Donald Trump’s election tantrum. On one end, it can lead to things like Jan. 6 that must be taken seriously. On the other end, it gives us things like an email threatening that Republicans won’t vote anymore.

In this case, Kimmel laughs off Trump’s latest outburst. The comedian admitted he was “confused” and even joked that Nancy Pelosi wrote the email for Trump. Kimmel goes on to suggest that it brings up the question “how do you solve a problem you made up?”

Kimmel moved on Trump’s other “nutty” email. This one claimed that Dr. Anthony Fauci wanted to steal Christmas through mask mandates and social distancing recommendations. The email came in tandem with Laura Ingraham claiming that President Joe Biden and the Democrats intended to steal children’s future, “slithering” around like the Grinch. The comparison didn’t quite land with Kimmel, who wondered if anyone read to the end of How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
