Late-night TV hosts assemble to fight climate change
By Matt Moore
Late-night TV comes together to fight climate change on Wednesday night. Every major show will participate in a special event they’re calling Climate Night.
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, The Late Late Show with James Corden, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Late Night with Seth Meyers, Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, and The Daily Show with Trevor Noah will unite for a common cause on Wednesday, Sept. 22.
Fans can expect each host to dedicate their show to covering the topic in their unique way. Look no further than the hosts’ comments for proof of that:
Stephen Colbert: “I’m proud to dedicate one entire night of my show to the climate, so I can say I wasn’t part of the problem, I was 1/365th of the solution.”
Jimmy Kimmel: “I don’t want to die.”
Jimmy Fallon: “In the interest of recycling, please use whatever Jimmy Kimmel said.”
Samantha Bee: I’m thrilled to participate in Climate Night. But maybe we should move it up a few days? Just because, you know, it’s urgent?”
The night’s guests will also contribute to the theme. Jimmy Fallon will chat with Jane Goodall, Seth Meyers welcomes John Kerry, and Trevor Noah will chat with Greta Thunberg.
