Norm Macdonald gets tributes from late-night TV

Norm Macdonald died on Sept. 14, leaving behind a comedy legacy few can ever hope of replicating. The Saturday Night Live alum, actor, and stand-up comedian was beloved by fans and his fellow entertainers for his signature sense of humor and delivery.
Macdonald always appeared on top of his game when he visited late-night TV. He made a name for himself in the genre at SNL and continued to be a familiar face well after his infamous dismissal from Studio 8H.
It seemed like every late-night host loved Macdonald. Fans should recall the emotional goodbye between Macdonald and David Letterman at the end of the latter’s Late Show run. And who could forget Macdonald leaving Conan O’Brien in stitches with one-liners about Carrot Top or delivering his famous moth joke?
So it was no surprise to see several late-night hosts take time to pay tribute to Norm Macdonald. Here’s a roundup of some of those sentiments.

Fans should expect more tributes to come out as the week continues. Saturday Night Live marked Norm Macdonald’s passing as well, and the show will likely do it again once season 47 starts.
As Seth Meyers said, the best way to celebrate Norm is to revisit some classic clips. Whether it’s Celebrity Jeopardy, his stint as “Weekend Update” host, his turn as host of the ESPYs, or his countless interviews with Conan O’Brien, David Letterman, and other late-night TV hosts, there is no shortage of fantastic footage.
