The Late Show with Stephen Colbert delighted fans when it returned last week from an extended hiatus. Will tonight mark the start of another new week of shows?
It was nearly a month between new episodes, leaving some fans to question Stephen Colbert’s dedication to the job. In the end, all was forgiven as Colbert returned and his monologues kept fans laughing.
The comedian will look to keep things rolling on Monday night. There will be a brand new episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight.
Donald Trump’s gig as a boxing commentator, the run-off election in California, and the 20th anniversary of 9/11 are all potential topics for Colbert’s monologue tonight. Then, it’s time for the guests.
Who’s on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight?
First up, Stephen Colbert interviews Jeff Daniels. The actor will be on The Late Show to promote his new series American Rust.
American Rust is based on the novel of the same name by Philipp Meyer. Daniels plays chief of police Del Harris, investigating a murder in a Pennsylvania rust belt town. It premiered on Showtime on Sept. 12.
Then, former NFL wide receiver Nate Burleson joins the show. After covering the NFL for CBS on The NFL Today, he’s adding co-host of CBS Mornings to his resume.
