The Late Show with Stephen Colbert roared back this week after an extended absence. So how will the CBS late-night show close out the week?

After not airing an episode since August 19, The Late Show returned on Monday. Stephen Colbert sported a new mustache but slipped right back into his old ways of delivering late-night TV’s most-watched monologue.

However, those old ways also include taking Fridays off. There will not be a new episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight.

Instead, CBS will reair the Sept. 7 episode. Fans get another chance to catch guests Steve Martin, Martin Short, Selena Gomez, and The War on Drugs.

What to watch instead of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight

Late-night TV fans will have to go elsewhere for entertainment tonight. Luckily, there are a few options on Friday night.

If you want to keep your humor politically inclined, check out Real Time with Bill Maher. He has Representative Barbara Lee as his lead guest. The show starts at 10:00 p.m. ET on HBO.

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon will be new over on NBC. The guest lineup features Reese Witherspoon, Simu Liu, and Lisa.

Jimmy Kimmel returned from his summer vacation this week. He’ll air a rare Friday episode tonight, too. The Jimmy Kimmel Live! lineup includes Kristen Bell, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, and Metallica.
